Liberia: Star Radio Journalist wins Reporting Competition

January 13, 2008 – Olive Thomas of Star Radio wins the top prize in our latest competition for her report on a key testimony before Liberia’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Othello Garblah of the New Democrat newspaper wins second prize and Macdonald Metzger of UNMIL Radio is in third place, also for reports focussing on the TRC.

Olive receives a portable computer with digital sound editing software and a digital Marantz recorder. Othello also gets a portable computer and Macdonald gets a digital Marantz recorder.
